New Castle....Zelpho DeWayne Jordan, 78, resident of New Castle, passed away at Community Hospital in Anderson Wednesday.He was born in Knightstown, November 1, 1936, the son of Zelpho E. and Frances B Trennepohl Jordan.He was a 1954 graduate of Middletown High School and retired in 1997 from Delco Remy in Anderson.He had lived in the Middletown area for over 51 years, was Past Master of Middletown Lodge F and AM and had coached many years in Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball.Survivors are his wife of 17 years; Lori R. (Robinson) of New Castle, Daughters: Joni (David) Dick and Jamie (Butch) Underwood of Middletown, grandchildren: Leslie (Billy) Sanders, Amy (Matt) Miller, Allison (Matt) Telfer, Angie (Jeremy) Price, Jordan (Kristy) Becker and Chad Becker, 11 great grandchildren, 1 sister: Jeannine Mowery, several nieces and nephews.He wasa preceded in death by his parents, a daughter: Jill, grandson: Adam Becker, 2 sisters: Joycelyn Howard and Juanita Keesling and 2 great grandchildren: Ashlyn and Chance Price.A celebration gathering will take place on Saturday from 2-6 PM at Ballard and Sons, 118 South 5th, Middletown with a Celebration service conducted at 6:00 PM by Pastor Marty Ballard and the Middletown Masonic Lodge.Memorials may be made to the Community Hospital Cancer Center.Online Guestbook at:
