Middletown....Wilma A. (Russell) Riley, 92, resident of Middletown, passed away at her residence on Tuesday evening.She was born in Paragould, Arkansas, January 29, 1923, the daughter of Thomas and Lillie Russell. She moved to Indiana in 1940 and worked at Hardy's Manufacturing in Pendleton. She began worked in 1957 at Murphy's Food King and retired on April 2, 2015.She enjoyed doing craft shows and was known as the ""Jelly Lady"". She loved watching basketball and baseball games and loved her two special grand dogs: Sophie and Bella.She is survived by her daughter: Debbie Smith (Allen) of Middletown, daughter-in-law: Betty Riley of Middletown, 6 grandchildren: Elaine Merritt of Georgia, Tommy Riley of Ohio, Ricky and Carey Riley of Middletown, Lynn Riley of Anderson, and Tracy McCrocklin of Middletown, special nieces and nephews, sister: Mildred Cannell of Atlanta Indiana and brother-in-law: Frankie Koons of Middletown.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond, sons: James and Thomas (Eddie), brothers: Tommy, Bud and Inos Russell and sisters: Ellen Koons, Lucille Russell, Elsie Elder.A Celebration of her life will be held on Friday at 1:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Pastor Ron Branham officiatingBurial will follow in Miller Cemetery, Middletown.Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday after 11:00 amA celebration dinner will take place at the Middletown Civic Center after the services.A special thank you to the St. Vincent Hospice nurses: Sharon and Heather.Online Guestbook at:
