Sun City West, Arizona....Wilma Haynes Cory, a 30 plus year resident of Sun city West, AZ, passed away at the age of 89 on May 19, 2020. Wilma was born on June 22, 1930, the daughter of Crystal and Bill Haynes of Henry County, Indiana. She was an employee of Chrysler Corporation for 42 years. Wilma was a champion shuffleboard player, amassing more than 130 trophies and earned an induction into the National Shuffleboard Hall of Fame.
She is survived by her brother, Gerald (Bobbie) and Bob (Ernestine) Haynes, her son Jay (Shannon) Cory, her granddaughter, Crystal.
Visitation with social distancing will be held on Thursday from 6-8 at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown. The CDC requests only 100 individuals within the funeral home at a time with facial masking preferred.
The funeral will be held on Friday and is private for the family. Cremation will follow.
