Daleville...William A. Walker, 85, resident of Daleville, died Saturday at Westminster village in Muncie, after an extended illness.He was born in Mt. pleasant Township, November 2, 1918, the son of Ward and Effie (Fosnot) Walker.He was a US Marine Veteran of WW 2 serving in Iwo Jima and retired from Chevrolet in Muncie in 1981 after 43 years of service.He was a member of the Daleville Masonic Lodge #730 and the International Diecasters and Setters Union (IDSC).He is survived by his wife of 64 years: Elizabeth (Schlegel) of Daleville, 4 sons: Sam (Judy) Walker of Daleville, Ted (Kathie) Walker of Okeana, OH, Roland Walker of Alexandria, IN, and Tom (Andi) Walker of Canton, GA, 1 daughter: Lora Jane (Gary) Berger of Fox River Grove, Illinois, 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 1 sister: Mary Etta Sutton.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday morning at 10:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street in Daleville with Rev.
