Middletown...William Edward Leathers, 84, resident of Honey Creek, passed away December 27, 2016 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.He was born in Chesterfield, June 3, 1932, the son of Marion and Addie McCalister leathers.He was a United States Army Veteran and had been employed at Anaconda Wire and Cable and the Chrysler Electrical plant..He was also self employed in well work, roto-rooter, electrical and plumbing.He was an active member of the Honey Creek United Methodist Church and had lived in Honey Creek for 49 years.He was a 50 year member of the Daleville Lodge F & AM.He loved people doing things for them.He is survived by his wife of 68 years: Eldora (Ackenback) of Honey Creek, a daughter: Tami (Randy) Stigall, two grandsons: Shane (Amanda) Stigall and Jeremy Stigall, great grandchildren: Audrey and Decklan, one brother: Robert (Pauline) Leathers, several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother: Don Leathers, and fours sisters: Doris Hennis, Ada Moore, Ella McDaniels and Betty Everett.Graveside rites will be held on Tuesday at Miller Cemetery at 1:00 PM.There will be no public visitation.Memorials may be made to the Honey Creek United Methodist Church.Online Guestbook at:
