William Keesling

William (Bill) A. Keesling

Born in Middletown, IN on January 17, 1931. Bill passed away surrounded by his family on June 4, 2021 at the age of 90 after an extended battle with cancer.

Bill graduated from Middletown High School in 1949 before starting work with General Motors in Anderson, IN. Bill coached little league baseball when his and Carols children were young. He was an avid Cubs baseball and Indiana University basketball fan.

Bill retired from General Motors in 1996 to start his next adventures in life. Which included watching as much IU basketball, and Cubs baseball as he could as well as beginning to work for Valley View Golf Course and improving his golf game.

Bill was a family man and would do anything for his family that he could. When he and Elizabeth were married he became an avid attendee of the 1st Baptist Church of Middletown.

Bill is preceded in death by his first wife Carol J. Keesling, His parents Annabelle Hanson Riley, and John Hanson. His two brothers Gene and Jerry Hanson and his sister Louise Keesling.

Bill is survived by his wife of 23 years Elizabeth Zicafoose Keesling. His sons Lance (Melissa) Keesling and Keith Zicafoose. His daughters Andrea Keesling, Ann Browder, Bonnie Meredith, Samantha Harry, and Mandy (Shawn) Dickey.

His grandchildren Andrew Brown, Katherine and Julia Keesling, Dustyn, Ryan (Amanda), Levi (Kelsi), and Myla Zicafoose. Kevin, Kaleb (Saisha), and Heather Meredith. JD Delph (Jaclyn), Jacob Stires, Jace, and Savannah Harry. Michael (Chantel) Dickey, Katlynn (Taylor) Sheller.

20 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and Special friends Tom, Mark, Joey Cole, Kelly Fields and James Hanson

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM at the Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown, IN with Pastor Derrick Lay and Marty Ballard officiating.  Burial will be held in Miller Cemetery,

Friends may call on Thursday from 4-7 at the funeral home and one hour before the service.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and the First Baptist Church of Middletown.
