Middletown...Wilburn E. Forney, 84, resident of Middletown, passed away Wednesday evening at the home of his son in Middletown after an extended illness.He was born in Henry County, December 12, 1926, the son of James E. and Lilith F. Cox ForneyHe had worked for many years for Standard Oil and had lived in South Carolina and Wisconsin.He was a vertern of the US Army and a member of the Middletown Lodge #271 F & AM.Survivors are one son: Wayne Earl Forney of Middletown, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, 1 brother:Philip ""Bud"" Forney of Anderson, 4 sisters: Lulu Mae Godby of Anderson, Virginia Ann Douglass of Kokomo, Freida Nixon of Sumpter, SC, and Carolyn Loffer of Blue Ridge, GA, several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his wife: Barbara, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.Masonic Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown.Friends may call from noon until the time of the services on Saturday.Burial will be at Mechanicsburg Cemetery, near Middletown.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.com
