Muncie....The Angels came and took Wauneta (Berry) Moreland, 81, of Muncie, home to be with the Lord on October 10, 2006.She attended Harrison Township School and Indiana Business College. She worked at Guide Lamp and worked with her husband Earl and Annebelle Hanson (Riley) as owners of the Chatterbox Restaurant on 8th street in Middletown from 1955 to 1964.She was employed at Muncie Federal Savings and Loan from 1964 to 1969. She then worked at the Norfolk and Southern Railway from 1969 to 1982 as a steno-clerk. She helped her husband with operation on the farm also. She was a member of Full Gospel Temple in Muncie, IN.She was preceded in death by her parents: John W. and Donatta Hartley Berry, her husband of 60 years: Earl who passed on June 22, 2003, whom she married at Crossroads Lutheran Parsonage by Rev. Virgil Yohe on December 3, 1942, Brothers: J. Wilbur Berry in 1986, Wayne Berry Sr, in 2006, 3 sisters: Ruth Best 1987, Florence Edrington 1990, and Evalyn Isom in 1991, four nephews: Ronald Berry, George W. Edrington, Charles F. Berry and David Berry as well as 1 niece: Shirley Berry.She leaves to cherish her memory: 1 son: James m and Karen Johnson of Muncie, 6 nephews: James W. Falls of South Bend, Phillip L. Berry of Wheaton, IL, Robert Edrington of Muncie, Wayne Berry Jr., Mississippi, David E. Berry of Mississippi, Joseph Berry of Alabama, 6 nieces: Jo Ann Thomas of Muncie, Nellie Huffman of Longmont, CO, Ruth Ellen Blansit of Windsor, CO, Sharon Bazor of Petal, MS, Charlotte Berry of Hattiesburg, MS and REbecca Wauneta Edwards of Petal, MS, several great and great great nieces and nephews, Grandchildren: Debbie White (Devin) of Berwick, MA, Tammie Hunt (Matt) of Albany, IN and Michael (Melissa) Johnson of New Castle, 9 great grandchildren, brother-in-law: Harold Moreland of Anderson, special friends: Mary and David Howell and their chidlren; Aaron, Adam, Amanda, and Audrey.Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown, with Pastor John Paul Helton officiating.Burial will follow in Sunderland Cemetery near Yorktown.Friends may call one hour before the services at the funeral home.Online Guestbook at:
