Middletown...Virginia Rose (Lane) Williams, 83, resident of Middletown, passed away January 15, 2008 at St. Johns Medical Center in Anderson after an extended illness.She was born in Anderson, October 31, 1924, the daughter of Walter W. and Lucille Trace Lane Sr.She had been a homemaker her entire life and a member of the the Fall Creek Christian Church in Pendleton.Survivors are her stepchildren: Susan Scott (Tim) and Charles Williams (Tina) of Anderson, 4 stepgrandchildren, 3 brothers: Walter Lane Jr. (Frances) of Pendleton, Warner Lane (Norma) of Anderson, and Ernest Lane (Marilyn) of Middletown, 1 sister: Diane Allen (Arlo) of Anderson, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Presley and 5 brothers and sisters.Graveside services will be held at 1:00 Friday at Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson.Services have been entrusted to Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, Middletown.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.com
