Indianapolis.....Virginia Winn Fleck, 87, passed peacefully into Heaven on February 12, 2017, surrounded by her family. Born in Henryetta, Oklahoma, on February 5, 1930, she spent her formative years in nearby Sapulpa and Grove, Oklahoma. In 1952 she graduated from the Oklahoma College of Women in Enid, Oklahoma, now called the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, with a B.A. in Professional Art. After graduation that same year she married U.S. Army Air Corp pilot and architect John C. Fleck, and moved to Indianapolis, Indiana. For the rest of her life her sacrificial love supported her husband and two children, John D. Fleck and Pamela S. Fleck. Her passions were animals, flowers, flying the American Flag, interior decorating, traveling, good friendships, and watching her three grandsons grow into strong young men. She will always be remembered for her sweet spirit, generous hugs, and warm smiles. She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, John C. Fleck. She is survived by her children, John D. Fleck and Pamela S. Fleck, and three grandsons, Bryan S. Fleck (Ashley), James H. Fleck (Melissa), and Spencer B. Fleck (Lauren). We celebrated her life with family and close friends while she lived the last year of her life; no memorial service is planned. We give grateful thanks to the Community North Hospital MRO Unit and Community Home Hospice Staff who gave her so much comfort in her last days. Donations can be given to any animal shelter in her memory. Online Guestbook at:
