Middletown....Virginia Ann ""Ginny"" (Sims) Catron,88 Middletown, Indiana, passed away peacefully March 2 at Miller's Merry Manor in Middletown after a lengthy illness. Ginny was born in Muncie, IN October 6, 1926 to Bernice (Funkhouser) and Cleon C. Sims. She led a full 88 years and had a smile for everyone she met.She graduated from Daleville High School, Class of 1944, where she was one of the first three twirling majorettes. She loved to roller skate in those early years.She worked for O. W. Storer at his privately owned Merchants Bank in Muncie. She was also a licensed LPN at the Richmond State Hospital; a Department Head at W. T. Grant; Delco Remy Plant 10; Brooks Foods in Mt. Summit, IN; and was co-manager of Rose Park and Town Park Apartments in Middletown when they first opened. Of all her work experiences, she was most proud of working with ""her girls"", as she called them, at Shenandoah Elementary School Cafeteria. She always greeted her loving family with a ""well hi"" or ""looky there"". They include three children and spouses: Peggy Richman (Bruce) Seward and Joe Richman of Middletown and Jerry (Annette) Richman of Daleville. Seven grandchildren and spouses: Sheli (Paul) Marshall and Brian Seward of Middletown, Lindsey (Chris) Trausch of Charlotte NC, Zac (Sara) Richman of McCordsville, Cari (Richman) Lewis of Carmel, Josh (Darcie) Richman of Chesterfield and Katie Richman of Anderson. Six great-grandchildren: LCPL Brian (Robby) Seward USMC in Twentynine Palms, CA and his fiancAC. Amanda Raines of Anderson, Logan Marshall of Middletown, Henley Richman of McCordsville and Hailey, Cole and Payge Richman of Chesterfield. Also, very special in-laws Roy and Verl Caughran of Greenville, OH and their daughter Carol (Ray) Marion of Covington, OH. Cousins Betty Denton and Linda (Chuck) Vise of AZ, Judy (Jim) Smith of Yorktown, Fred Price of Middletown, April (Steve) Swim of Springport and a host of many friends and other relatives.Proceeding her in death are her parents, father of her children Melvin D. Bud Richman, husbands Harold Lunsford, Ernie Cross and James Catron.As per Ginny's request, there will be only private family viewing and service. Burial of cremains will take place at a later date at Tomlinson Cemetery Muncie IN.We wish to honor and thank Dr. Steven DeLee and all the wonderful, loving nurses and caretakers at Millers Merry Manor in Middletown, Pastor Phil Rogers and the Middletown Church of the Nazarene.
