Virgina Elizabeth Parrish-Norris-Blackmer

Muncie...Virginia Elizabeth (Parrish) Norris-Blackmer,80, resident of The Woodlands Nursing Center in Muncie, passed away Thursday evening at the center after an extended illness.She was born November 14, 1932, in Burkesville, KY, the daughter of John Austin and Hytie Page ParrishShe attended Salem Community Schools in Cumberland County KY and lived in the Daleville Indiana community for over 35 years.She was a member of the Daleville American Legion Auxillary Post 446 and was a cashier supervisor at the former Story's Truck Stop in Daleville.Survivors include one son: David A. Norris (Linda) of Cumberland County, KY, 2 grandchildren: Brent Norris (Pauline) of Bowling Green, KY and Stacey Norris of Cumberland County, KY, 2 great grandchildren: Kyle and Julie Norris, several nieces and nephews.Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers: Bob, Leo, Arnold, and Beckham Parrish and sisters: Antha Lacy, Nell Huddleston and Clara Parrish.Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street, Daleville.Friends may call on Saturday from 6-9 at the funeral home.The Ballard family is honored to celebrate the life of Virginia with family and friends.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.com
