Middletown...Virgil ""Bud"" Fattic, 85, resident of Middletown, died Friday at St. Johns Medical Center in Anderson after a short illness. He was born April 6, 1917 in Middletown, the son of Anderson and Louella Scothorn Fattic and was a lifelong resident. He worked for over 32 years as a utility-man at Delco Remy in Anderson.He was a member of the Middletown Church of the Nazarene, the UAW Local 662 and the Middletown Conservation Club.Survivors include his wife: Georgia ""Byrer"" of Middletown, Sons: Jim (Rexanne)Fattic of Middletown and Bill (Rosalee) Fattic of Shelbyville, 1 daughter: Kathie (David) Nichols of Middletown, Step sons: Russ Byrer of Middletown and Jim Byrer of Phoenix, AZ, 1 twin sister: Virginia Milhaupt of New Port Richey, FL, 1 brother: Leonard Fattic of Middletown, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers: Willard and Everett Fattic and 1 sister: Letha Fattic.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday morning at 10:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown, with Rev. Kenneth Foust and Rev. Marty Ballard officiating.Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery in Middletown.Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8 PM.Memorial contributions may be made to the middletown Church of the Nazarene Building Fund.Online Guestbook is available at: www.ballardandsons.com
