Middletown...Viola Monzella Zirkle Walters, 100, resident of Middletown, passed away Friday morning at her residence.She was born in Middletown, October 20, 1915, the daughter of Ora and Alice Ritchie Zirkle.She was a graduate of Middletown High School and Anderson Business College and retired from Delco Remy General Motors.She also worked a Cousins Jewelry in Anderson as a bookkeeper. She attended Bethany Christian Church where she had taught Sunday School, worked in the nursery and assisted with Vacation Bible School.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Kenneth in 1978, and a daughter: Pauline Whitinger.She is survived by three daughters: Elizabeth Ann Moore of Middletown, Effie Alice Griffin of Middletown and Roberta Renea Rice (Don) of Middletown, 1 son: Kenneth Phil Walters of Loveland, CO, 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, 2 sisters: Lena Lambert of Eaton and Velma Mountcastle of Tennessee, several nieces and nephews.A graveside celebration will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 PM at Miller Cemetery in Middletown with Pastor Bob Bell officiating.Memorials may be made to the charity of the donors choice.Online Guestbook at:
