Zionsville....Viola M. Clapp, 81 formally of Middletown, died on June 29, 2004. She was the widow of Harry E. Fadely, whose family were Henry County pioneers, settling there in 1837.She lived in Middletown from 1936 until 1998. She was born on November 14, 1922 in Henry County, the daughter of Henly Fugate Clapp and Bertha Paquette Clapp.In her paternal line, Mrs. Fadely was descended from Thomas Clapp, of County Dorset, England, who arrived in Scituate in the Massachusetts Bay colony in 1633.On her maternal side, she was descended from Pierre Paquette of Montreal, Canada.She was a charter member and past membership secretary of the Middletown-Fall Creek Township Historical Society and past president of of the Middletown chapter of Sigma Beta sorority. She was a fifty year member of the Order of the Eastern Star.Mrs. Fadely was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Zionsville and was formally a longtime member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Anderson.Memorial contributions may be made to The Fadely Fund, c/o Henry County Community Foundation, 700 South Memorial Drive, P.O. Roman Catholic graveside rites will follow in Miller Cemetery, Middletown.She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Cleveland D. Clapp, John A. Clapp, and Mildred L. Clapp Emswiller. She is survived by her son, Dr. James P, Fadely, daughter-in-law, Sally Fehsenfeld Fadely, and two grandchildren, James P. Fadely, Jr. and Adele L. Fadely, all of Indianapolis,; a brother: Henly F. Clapp, Jr. (Nancy) of Westfield; a sister, Rose M. Clapp Moon of Des Moines, Iowa; two half brothers, Richard H. Clapp (Shirley) of Middletown and Jerry A.
