Anderson....Vera Olive (Moore), Highmiller Humphrey, 95 passed away at the Middletown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on April 3. following an extended illness. She was born on October 23, 1917 in Middletown and was the daughter of Leo David and Montrew (Good) Moore. She was a graduate of Daleville High School and was employed at Anaconda Wire and Cable in Anderson for 30 years before retiring 1n 1976.She is preceeded in death by her husband Charles; Two brothers Ernest Moore and Byron Eugene Moore; one sister Virginia Moore; one son: Curtis Wayne Highmiller.She is survived by three nieces: Darlene (Ken) King of Middletown, Christina (Bob) Provost of Middletown, Kathy (Jerry) Gossage of New Castle, and a nephew: Mike (Rhonda) Moore, several cousins.Special Friends include Peggy, Irvine, and Natasha Taylor of TN, Gerry McClintock, Judy Vardaman of Anderson and Carolyn Triplett of Dunkirk, Indiana.Graveside services will be held 10 A.M. Saturday morning at Miller Cemetery with the Reverends Tim Glidden and Marty Ballard.Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Vincent's Hospice through the Ballard and Sons Funeral Home.A Special Thanks to the staff at the Middletown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for taking such excellent care of Vera and her Family.The Ballard family is honored to celebrate the life of Vera Humphrey with family and friends.
