V. Ruth Manis

Anderson...Violet Ruth Manis, 84, resident of Anderson, passed away on Sunday evening at her residence.She was born in Hymara, IN, July 4, 1921, the daughter of Walter and Joy Raines.She was a 1938 graduate of Anderson High School and was a homemaker most of her life.Survivors include 1 daughter: Carolyn Sue Manis of Anderson, 2 sons: Sam (Jeanie) Manis of Cicero and Dan (Debbie) Manis of Anderson, 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, 1 sister: Betty Lependorf of San Lorenzo, CA, several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband: Sanford Manis, 1 daughter: Katie Myers and 1 grandson: Caleb Manis.She was a proud homemaker and always ready to fix something to eat or drink.Because of her hearing difficulties and her private personality, she had requested that there be no public viewing or funeral.
