Tonya Taylor

Tonya Taylor, 48, of Greenfield passed away on Friday May 5, 2023 after a 14-year battle with MS surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on August 8, 1974 in Muncie to the late Gerald ‘Sarge” Griggs and Patricia “Charli” (Barnett) Thomas.

She was a 1993 graduate of Pendleton Heights High School. In the summer of 1993, she went to work for her stepfather at House of Service. In 2002 Tonya got her realtors license and started working for Century 21. She loved mushroom hunting, camping, cooking, ATV rides in the mountains of Kentucky and her beloved Colts. Everyone that Tonya met instantly became part of her family. Tonya would say her biggest accomplishment is her four daughters.

Tonya is survived by her husband, Travis Taylor; daughters, Savanna Bilbrey, Ali Bilbrey, Jordan Bilbrey, Ashton Moneyhun and Raegan Taylor; grandchildren, Keianna, Keyarra, Isaac, Loren, Waylen, Bowen, Kinslee, Trinnity and Serennity; sister Cami (Kenneth) Wiggins; brother, Michael (Lisa) Baxter; Niece and 1st born, Kayla “KayKay” Fesler; along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and her bonus family she acquired along the way.

In addition to her parents Tonya is preceded in death by her, stepfather, David Thomas who raised Tonya from a young age and she loved dearly as well as her beloved grandson, Nash John who left us too soon.

Services will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday May 10, 2023 at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Middletown with Scott Milburn officiating. Burial will follow at Grove Lawn Cemetery in Pendleton. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until the time of the service.
