Daleville...Timothy Jay Vores I, 65, resident of Kokomo, passed away at the home of his daughter in Daleville on Tuesday. He was born in New Castle, Indiana, January 4, 1955, the son of Max and Maxine Vores. He was a 1974 graduate of Shenandoah High School and Worked for 32 years with General Motors retiring in 2006.He was a life long lover of sports and enjoyed coaching his daughter Sabrina in softball.
He lived in Kokomo, Oklahoma, and Middletown. He was a UAW 662 member. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed going to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, IndyCar series and NASCAR. He was an Indiana Hoosier fan.
Survivors are his children: Sabrina Toffolo (Chad) of Daleville, Lindsey Poffenbarger (Joe) of Middletown and Timothy Vores, II of Muncie, grandchildren; Tyler and Blake Poffenbarger, Matthew Vores, Calyb Toffolo, Michael and Tent Poffenbarger, Alyssa and Adelynn Toffolo, 1 great grandchild, Emerson Poffenbarger, 2 sisters; Tracy Denny of Sulphur Springs and Toni (Patrick) Lima of Noblesville and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Terry, granddaughter, Emily Toffolo, and Aunt, June Woollard.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with burial to follow in Miller Cemetery, Middletown.
Friends may call from 11:00 am until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
