Thomas Alard Adkins "Aggie", 79, of Muncie passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2022. He was born on February 21, 1943, in Little Crab, TN to the late Ozell Adkins.
Tom was a veteran of the United Stated Navy and a pillar of the community. Tom retired from the Muncie Fire Department after 26 years of service, he served 8 years as Deputy Chief. Tom was the proud owner of A&S Roofing Service. He was an avid fisherman and mushroom hunter.
Tom is survived by his wife, Barbara Adkins; sons, Tom (Shirl) Adkins, Shawn (Trace) Adkins and Lance (Laura) Adkins; grandchildren, Alisha, Kasandra, Kyle, Kaithlyn, Kileah, Olivia, Kaylah, Taylor, Tyler and Alan; great grandchildren, Sophia, Cristian, Kaithlyn, Mack, Lucien, Laken, Isla, Jordan, Jalen, Jrue, Alayah, Landon, Charlotte, Cooper and Violet; along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother, Tom is preceded in death by a sister, Celia (Adkins) Buck.
A celebration of life for Tom will be held at a later date.
