New Castle...Thelma Leah (Callahan) Reynolds, 95, resident of rural New Castle, went to be with her Lord December 19 after a prolonged illness at her residence.She was the daughter of the late William Floyd Callahan and Dottie Florence Hodson Callahan born in Harrison Township, April 26, 1914.She was a 1932 graduate of Cadiz High School and enjoyed quilting, crafts and sewing.She married Tyrus V. Reynolds January 3, 1936.She is survived by her two daughters: Donna Kay (Mel) Basey and Patricia Jo Reynolds of New Castle, 2 grandsons: Gerald Lee Boling Jr. of Somerset, KY and Donald Kent (Pat) Boling of Cincinnati, two granddaughters: Sharon Jo (Murali Ramalingham)Murali and Catherine June (Joe) Jackson of New Castle, 1 brother: Byron K. Callahan of Rensselaer five great granddaughters: Amber (Chris) Shallengerger of Marion, Ashley and Brittany Jackson of New Castle, Chelsea Boling of Muncie and Alaina Murali of New Castle.Also, 2 great grandsons: Kent Boling of Westfield and Keegan Murali of New Castle, great grandchildren: Zachary Boling, Brendan Boling of Kokomo, and Calleigh Shallenberger of Marion, step sister: Twila (Bennie) Brock of Middletown. 1 niece and four nephews, two step grandchildren: Robert Allen Basey of Lebanon and Donna Lou Basey of San Antonio, TX, 7 step great grandchildren and 5 step great great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Tyrus, of over 53 years and one sister: Betty Jo in 2001. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 am at Ballard and Sons Fuenral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Rev.
