Kennard...Thelma Figel, 95, resident of the Waters in New Castle passed away November 20, 2017.She was born in Sulphur Springs, September 4, 1922, the daughter of Charles and Valeta Keesling.She worked at General Motors Guide Lamp for 30 years and belonged to the UAW 663. She loved to Crochet and cook for family.She belonged to two Brotherhood and Sisterhoods in Wilkinson and Kennard and was very active in the Lions Club for over 57 years with her husband Jacob. She belonged to the Locust Grove Club and the Advisory Board for the Greensboro Township Trustee. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Jacob, siblings: Roscoe Keesling, Ferman Keesling, Louise Cart, Halcyon Bertram and Brother-in-law: Lee Cope.Survivors are her sisters: Nila Cope and Linda Mellott and a brother: Herbert Keesling.Service will be held on Friday at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown.Entombment will follow at Miller Cemetery.
