Ted Melvin Vetor, 83, of Anderson, formerly of Middletown, passed away Monday, July 8, 2013 at Rawlins House Health and Living Community in Pendleton.Ted was born January 22, 1930 in Summitville, Indiana to the late Charles and Mabel (Pyle) Vetor. He was a 1948 graduate of Summitville High School. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving during the Korean War. Ted worked as a utility engineer at Delco Remy for 38 years before his retirement. Ted attended the Middletown Church of the Nazarene and was a member of the UAW Local 662. He enjoyed baseball and was active in Little League and the Babe Ruth League. His greatest joy was watching his grandchildren and children play baseball.Ted is survived by four children, Tim Vetor of Anderson, Kent Vetor (wife Terri) of Middletown, Lori Rouse (husband Ron) of Hardensburg, and Ted Vetor (wife Chanise) of Pendleton; three brothers, Rube Vetor of Mongomery, Garbo Vetor of Anderson, and Phil Vetor (wife Carla) of Summitville; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.Ted was preceded in death by his loving wife, Laura Belle Vetor; four brothers, and two sisters.A funeral service to celebrate Ted's life will be 3:00 P.M. Friday, July 12, 2013 at Middletown Church of the Nazarene,698 N. 5th St., Middletown, with Pastor Phil Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Vinson Memorial Cemetery in Summitville. Friends and family may gather to share and remember two hours prior to services on Friday from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Middletown Church of the Nazarene.Memorial contributions may be given to the Cal Ripkin Little League of Middletown.Online guestbook at
