Yorktown...Sylvia Mae (Cook) Luce,88, resident of Willow Bend Health Care and former longtime resident of Yorktown, passed away at the facility after an extended illness.She was born in Middletown, May 23, 1923, the daughter of Clarence and Mary Williams Cook.She had been an activity director at Miller's Merry Manor in Middletown for many years.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Marion Luce, 2 brothers: Clarence A. and Robert Cook.She was a member of the OES #110 of Middletown, Rebecca Lodge of Muncie and the former Pikes Peaks Christian Church.Survivors include one son: David (Tamara) Luce of Yorktown, 2 grandchildren: Amanda Luce of Yorktown and Adam Hampton (Patricia) of Ft. Wayne, 2 great grandchildren: Julliana and Savanah Hampton, 1 sister: Mary Cook of Muncie.Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:00 pm at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Rev.
