Middletown...Suzanne (Hess) Davis,82, a life long resident of Middletown, passed away March 30,2004, after an extended illness.She was born May 22, 1921 in Middletown, the daughter of Raymond and Alma (Showalter) Hess. She was employed with Delco Remy Division of General Moters for 30 years.She was a member of Sixth Street Chirstian Church of Middletown and a 50 year member of the Middletown Order of the Eastern Star. She was a graduate of Middletown High School and attended George Washington University in Washington D.C.She was active in golf and bowling. Other interest include playing bridge, sewing and crocheting. She also did volunteer work.Survivors include two daughters, Penny Hodson of Anderson and Margo (husband Bill) Boyer of Indianapolis; a sister Phyillis Cox of Winchester, Ky.; three grandsons, Mark Hodson of Anderson, Craig Hodson of Fishers and Chip Whiting of Orlando, Fla.; three great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Alta Hess; her husband, William ""Bill"" Davis; a brother W.C. ""Ting"" Hess; and a sister Betty Kimball.Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, at the Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, Middletown Chapel, with the Rev. Maynard Powell officiating. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, Middletown.Visitation will be from noon to 2 p. m. Friday at the Funeral Home.Memorial contributions may be made to the Bill Davis Scholarship Fund, the Raymond Hess Middletown Historical Society Fund, the Middletown Volunteer Fire Department and the Middletown Library.
