Susan Kay Freeman

Susan “Susie” Kay Freeman, 78, of Daleville, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023. She was born on January 4, 1945, to the late Kenneth and Hazel Stafford.

She was a member of the Daleville Christian Church for 24 years, where she gave her life to serving God by heading and serving on the education committee. She worked for Yorktown Community Schools before retiring in 2000. She loved the Lord, her family and serving her community. Susan enjoyed knitting, sewing and cooking. She was the owner of Susie’s Pies and More.

She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Dick Freeman; son, Kent (Denise) Freeman; daughter, Lisa (Tim) McQuistion; grandchildren, Ashton Freeman, Laci (Richie) Kellogg, Maison and Maxwell McQuistion; great grandchildren, Kason, Kamden, Harlow, Henleigh and Kash Kellogg; sister-in-law, Linnett Stafford and her special friends, Judy Neal and Kay Swoveland

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Stafford.

Services will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 1:00 PM at the Daleville Christian Church with Rev. Gary McManus officiating. Burial will be Monday November 20th at 11 A.M. at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie, IN. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ballard and Sons Funeral Home Daleville Chapel.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at 50 East 91st Street, #100 Indianapolis, Indiana 46240 or the Daleville Christian Church at 14220 West Daleville Road, Daleville, Indiana 47334. Envelopes will be available at the church.
