Chesterfield....Stephen Creed Kowell, Jr., 80, resident of Chesterfield, passed away August 21, 2018 at Community Hospital in Anderson.
He was born in Detroit, Michigan, October 26, 1937 the son of Stephen and Dorothy Terry Kowell.
He was a US Navy Veteran serving on the USS Intrepid and worked for many years at Miller's Merry Manor in Chesterfield.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Barbara in 2011.
Survivors are his children: Vickie Donelson (Robert) of Avon, Valerie Everhart (Bert) of Ada, Ohio, Kim Christopher (Jim) of Plainfield and Jeff Kowell (Lisa) of Indianapolis, several grandchildren and several great grandchildren, 2 sisters: Lynn Bridgewater and Lois Forward, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of his life will take place on Saturday, August 25, from 2-4 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street, Daleville.
