Middletown....Stephen Richard Kirby, 63, Middletown, died January 21, 2017 at his home with his family by his side. He was born August 3, 1953 to George and Virginia Kirby in Anderson.He retired from Shenandoah School Corporation after 40 years.He was preceded in death by his parents, inlaws: Merle and Eva Roll and a sister in law: Penny Roll Goff.Survivors are his wife of 43 years: Anna (Roll) Kirby of Middletown, children: Hope Hornaday (Roy) of Middletown, Joseph Kirby of Middletown and April Kirby (Roger Hoppe II) of Michigan, grandson: Gavyn Kirby of Middletown, sisters: Georgia park if Ingalls and Melissa Ellis (Willie) of Anderson, Brothers: Brian Kirby (Debbie) of Yorktown and Michael Kirby of Fishers, sister in law: Sharon Harrell (Lloyd) of Indianapolis and several nieces and nephews.A Celebration of his life will be held on Thursday at 1:00 pm at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Marty Ballard officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Muncie.
