Soloma Jane Moon

Saloma Moon, 86, of Daleville, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024, at Countryside Manor in Anderson. She was born December 5, 1937, in Arkansas to the late John Royce and Mana (Frances) Callahan.

Saloma graduated from Daleville High School May of 1955. She worked and retired from Delco Remy. Saloma was a dedicated member of the Women Auxiliary of American Legion and volunteering her time to its causes. She loved her family and spending as much time as possible with them. She loved shopping at flea markets, painting, arts and crafts, which filled a lot of her time. She also played on a pool league to stay active and be around her friends.

Saloma is survived by her three sons, Gary Moon (Freda Hartley) of Grand Bay, Alabama, Michael (Launa) Moon of Piqua, Ohio and Anthony Moon of Daleville, Indiana; grandchildren, Michele Brookins, Tishia Andrew, Aaron Bourne, Lacie Shaw, Brandon Moon (Amber Bayless), Royce Moon and Misty Brooks; and many great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents Saloma was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Moon.

Visitation for Saloma will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00pm, Monday, November 25, 2024 at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Daleville. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memory Garden in New Castle. 

The family does not wish to receive flowers or memorial contributions at this time.
