Shirley E. Englert

Kokomo...Shirley E. (Benden) Englert, 78, longtime resident of Middletown, passed away in Kokomo after an extended illness.She was born in South Bend, Jaunary 9, 1930, the daughter of George and Lillian Drake Benden.She was a graduate of Anderson High School and retired in 1986 from General Motors Guide Division after 39 years of service.She attended Indiana Business College and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #110 of Middletown. She was active with her husband in the Middletown Lions Club and attended the Sixth Street Christian Church.She is survived by her son: Michael (Sally) Englert of Logansport, 3 grandchildren: Andrew, Shelby and Parker all of Logansport.Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Charles in 2006.Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Rev.
