Shawn Nicholas Daugherty

Shawn Nicholas Daugherty, 44 of Yorktown, passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side on Monday, October 14, 2024. He was born on January 2, 1980 a son to Rick Daugherty and late Yalonda (Willhoite) Daugherty.

Shawn was always down for a good time; he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He loved to hunt and to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Baseball was his favorite sport especially when it came to the Boston Red Sox. He loved the beach and his fur babies.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jessika Daugherty; children, Aaren Daugherty, Skyler Owen, Wesli (Dane) Foster, Michael Martin and Fate Martin; father, Rick Daugherty; brother, Shane (Molly) Daugherty; sister, Stephanie Hall; sister-in-law, Jama (Daniel) Poston; brother-in-law, Joshua Poston; mother-in-law, Gerri Poston; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Donna Martin, Dee Brown and Cheryl Ballard Granger.

In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Perry Poston; fur babies, Daisy and Milo, several grandparents and great grandparents.

Services will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Ballard and Sons in Daleville. Burial will follow in Mechanicsburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
