Middletown...Sarah Irene (Tuterow) Sayford, 92, resident of Middletown, passed away January 7, 2012 at St. Johns Medical Center in Anderson.She was born in Middletown, March 8, 1919, the daughter of Logan and Ada Good Tuterow.She was a 1938 graduate of Middletown High School and a homemaker all her life.She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond, Grandchildren: Tammy Tuterow, great grandchildren: Zechariah Tuterow and Miracle Ann Kellem, 2 brothers: Lawrence and Keith Tuterow and 2 sisters: Mary Ellen Webb and Fredia Tuterow, son-in-law: Anthony Kellem and daughter in law: Beverla Tuterow.She attended the Middletown United Methodist Church, was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #110, Suburban Home Economics Club, was Secretary of the Middletown Babe Ruth League for several years,and worked in the mission field, especially with the Red Bird Mission through the UMC and taught Youth and Sunday School.Survivors include two sons: Gerald Tuterow of Bradenton, FL and Melvin (Barbara) Sayford of Middletown, 8 grandchildren: Gerald Tuterow, Jr. (Rebecca) of McKinney, TX, Denise Kellem of Middletown, Fawn Orr (Willie Osborn) of Brandenton, FL, Shawn Fridley (James) of Middletown, Lisa Auler (Steven) of Bradenton, Heather Mehling (David) of Anderson, Laura Miller (Brandon) and Megan Sayford (Tyler) both of Middletown, great grandchildren: Josiah Kellem of Middletown, Elijah Kellem of New Castle, Zephaniah Kellem and Malachi Kellem of Middletown, Elvis Lee Orr of Bradenton, Michaela Mehling of Anderson, Erik Tuterow (Jessica) of New Castle, Brandon Miller Jr., Olivia Miller and Destiny Fridley of Middletown, 2 great great grandchildren: Zechariah Tuterow and Lillianna Tuterow of New Castle, 1 brother: Donald Tuterow (Jean Corbin) of Middletown and 1 sister: Jeanette Day of Middletown, several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Rev. Charles Peek, Rev. Walt Weaver and Rev.
