Sally Jo Stroud

Chesterfield...Sally Jo (Thompson) Stroud, 78, passed away at Miller's Merry Manor in Chesterfield, Indiana on March 25, 2020 after an extended illness.  She resided in Middletown, Indiana for 60 years. She graduated from Anderson Highland High School in 1960 and loved shopping, going to movies, watching old westerns and soap operas on T.V., and taking care of her dog.

She was born on November 5, 1941 in Anderson to Harley M. Hosier and Marie B. Wilson Spears., but was raised by her grandmother, Cleta M. (Stinson) Hughes and grandfather, Clarence Keesling.  She was a strong and resilient woman.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clarence "Bud" Stroud and Larry C. Shields and her mother,  Marie B. Spears.

She is survived by three daughters, Julie Lynn Crossler, Susan Cathleen Evans (Bobby) and Jennifer Lee Wallace (Earl); five grandchildren, Andrew Patton (Julie), Angelique Rothell (Bobby), Tyler Evans, Dylan Evans, and Nathaniel Wallace; five great grandchildren, Devin Patton, Zoe Rothell, Michelle Rothell, Kinley Evans, and Trenton Wallace; Cousin, Sandra McGill; and lifelong best friend, Opal McIntosh.

Due to the safety restrictions from the state of Indiana concerning the Covid 19 Virus, private services will be held with burial at Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson.
