Ryan Jeffrey Smith

Ryan Jeffrey Smith 43 of Middletown, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. He was born on July 14, 1981 to Jeffrey and Patricia (Bunten) Smith.

Ryan was a 1999 graduate from Shenandoah High School. He served in the Air Force for 4 years where he was a Blackhawk mechanic. Ryan enjoyed football and going on vacations. He was a carpenter at heart and especially loved to build furniture. Ryan coached Arianna’s softball team and loved watching Ashley play basketball. You would always find him running the grill with a beer in his hand, smoking many meats especially briskets. Glamping with friends and hosting events with friends and family was one of his favorite things to do in his free time.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Keirstien Smith; 2 daughters, Ashley (Aaliyah) Smith and Arianna Smith; father, Jeffrey Smith; sister, Roni (Greg) Wessels; aunt, Terry Adamson; uncle, Stevie (Paula) Bunten; grandfather, Chuck Robson; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by, grandmother, Sharon Robson; aunt, Barbara Bunten.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Middletown. Military rights will follow visitation. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Ballard and Sons Funeral Home to help assist with the funeral expenses.
