Ruth Eleanor Schlegel

Muncie...Ruth Eleanor (Donaldson) Schlegel, 94, resident of Westminster Village, passed away at her residence.She was born August 27, 1919 in Benton County, Indiana, the daughter of Elmer and Hanna (Reiners) Donaldson. She graduated from Pine Township School and Indiana Central College.She married Don H. Schlegel in 1943 and was an elementary teacher for many years, first in Benton County and later at Daleville Elementary School, retiring in 1976. She was a member of the Daleville United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Daleville Women's Club.Survivors are two daughter: Nycha Schlegel (Bill Loos) of Sandy, Utah and Nancy (Ron) Brock of Elkhart, two grandchildren: Jim (Colette) Schlegel and Allison Brock, and two great grandsons: Christopher and Zachary Schlegel.She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a brother and sister.Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street, Daleville with Rev.
