Ruth Hazel Risen

Middletown...Ruth Hazel Risen, 87, resident of Middletown, died August 24, 2004 at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie after a brief illness.She was born in Burkesville, KY, January 7, 1917, the daughter of Richard Henry and Mamie Kate Traylor Sprarks.She was a member of the Jones Chapel Methodist Church of Burkesville, KY. She had been a homemaker most of her life and had worked at Delco Remy in Anderson at one time. She was an avid doll collector and enjoyed quilting. Survivors include; 1 daughter: Marilyn June Johnson of Middletown, 3 grandchildren: J. Rick Hodson (Cindy) of Middletown, J. Renee Mills (Jessie) of Boliver, MO and J. Robin (Ken) Poynter of Mt. Summit, IN, 5 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.She had been preceded in death by her husband W. Duke Risen.Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday at Mechanicsburg Cemetery with Rev.
