Ruth Anna Ohnheiser

Middletown....Ruth Anna Ohnheiser, 98, resident of Middletown, passed away December 24, 2016 at St. Vincent's Regional Hospital in Anderson.She was born in Henry County, October 11, 1918, the daughter of Harry and Marguerite Rutherford Crim.She had been a homemaker, a bookkeeper for Henry County Memorial Hospital and Co-Owner with her husband of Middletown Cleaners. She had also worked at the Henry County Treasurer's office for many years.She was a 1936 graduate of Sulphur Springs High School and belonged to 3 area Bridge Clubs. She attended the Upper Fall Creek Church of the Brethren.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Al in 1984, son: James, a step son: Joe, and a grandson James Strough.Survivors are her daughter: Judy Koger of Middletown, 2 step sons: Tony and Damon Ohnheiser, 3 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, several step grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, a special niece: Catherine Reno of New Castle.A Celebration of her life will be held on Friday at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown, IN with Pastor Dennis Hilton officiating.
