Ruth Kramer

Middletown...Ruth Kramer, 99, resident of Middletown, passed away early Wednesday morning at Miller's Merry Manor in Middletown.She was born in Linton, IN, February 11, 1912, the daughter of Ellard and Amanda Sharp Pope.She was a graduate of Linton High School and Indiana State University.She taught school for over 45 years serving in Linton and retired in 1978 from Northwestern School Corporation in Middletown serving from 1950.She was a member of the Middletown United Methodist Church.Survivors include 2 children: Thyra Lyn DeBolt of Round Lake Beach, IL and Rhet (Linda) Kramer of Middletown, 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband: Paul in 1966 and 1 brother: Loren Pope and 1 sister: Mima Pope.Funeral services will be held on Saturday at noon at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown.Burial will follow at German Memroy Hill Cemetery in Linton, IN.Friends may call from 10 until the time of the services.Memorials may be made to the charity of the donors choice.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.com
