Cicero, IN...R. Kathleen Ballard, 72, resident of Cicero, IN, went to be with the Lord July 24, 2003, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville.She was born in Celina, TN and later lived in Atlanta and Cicero Indiana. She married William (Bill) Doyle Ballard in 1952 and resided in Tipton. They moved to Daleville in 1964. She was a homemaker, seamstress and a great cook. Her hobbies were reading and crossword puzzles. She was a member of the United Brethren in Christ Church in North Anderson.She moved to Oklahoma City, OK after her husband died in 1978. She was employed by the Oklahoma State Teaching Hospital as a communication operator. She moved back to Cicero in 1998 to help care for her parents: Jerry and Mamie Flowers.Survivors include her mother as well as her children: Beverly (Tom) Cantrell of Daleville, Cheryl Ballard of Orlando, FL, and Rudy (Candace) Ballard of Daleville, Grandchildren: Matthew (Kara) Cantrell of Anderson, Michael Cantrell of Muncie, William Brown of Oklahoma City, Megan Brown of Oklahoma City, Daniel (Summer) Ballard of New Castle, DaNae (Ryan) Spangler of Greenwood, DeAnn Ballard of Daleville, Great Grandchildren: Elijah Cantrell of Anderson, Noah Cantrell of Daleville, 3 brothers: James (Elene) Flowers of Tennessee, Glen Flowers of Anderson, Charles (Lori) Flowers of Cicero, 2 Sisters: Pauline Liston of Atlanta, GA, Jerelene Flowers of Kokomo, and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, two sister in laws: Joan Ballard of Tipton and Freida Johnson of Zepher Hills, FL as well as extended family: Nene and Bouaban Viravong and their children: Ratona, Manvia, Meta, Narin, Narong, Naret, and Lidet of Oklahoma City.Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street, Daleville with Rev. Bob Bell of Bethany Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow at Saunders Cemetery in Daleville.Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4-8 PM.Memorial contributions may be made to the Daleville Community Library.Online Guestbook is available at: www.ballardandsons.com
