Rowena Gaye Brissenden

Rowena Gaye (Pugsley) Brissenden, 66, of Anderson passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Ascension St. Vincent Anderson, Due to Covid. She was born May 22, 1955, in Muncie to the late Melvin and Rosemary (Walters) Pugsley.
Rena was a 1973 graduate of Daleville High School. She also received a CNA certificate and pin from Millers Merry Manor.
She worked a short period of time at Delco Remy and delivered the Herald Bulletin Newspaper.
Rena enjoyed watching NASCAR races, going to the Daytona 500, going on cruises, watching the Colts and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include daughter, Amanda (Kevin) Hummel; son, Toney (Katrina) Anderson; grandchildren, Kylie Higgs, Destiny Roberts, Tyler Turner, Rayne Hummel, Kevin (Jennifer) Hummel, Devon (Allison) Browder-Hummel, Jacob Hummel, Mackenzee Anderson, Haylee Anderson and Myracle Anderson; great grandchildren, Alayna, Christopher, Carter, Mason, Emma, Cali, Kasch, Luca, Nevaeh and Raelynn; sister, Angela (Mike) Dennis; nieces, Rhonda Farmer and Candy Bennett; nephews, Melvin Bennett and A.J. Greenwalt.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Meleana Greenwalt and Bonnie Jo Pugsley.
The family would like to give a special thank you to all the Doctors and Nurses who have cared for Rena.
Services will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday February 9, 2022, at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Daleville with Pastor Marty Ballard officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon until the time of service. Burial will follow at Bronnenburg Cemetery in Chesterfield. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to assist the family.
