Middletown....Rosemary (McLeland) Bowers, 95, resident of Middletown, passed away Saturday at St. Vincent Regional Health Center in Anderson.She was born in Shidler, Indiana, March 21, 1919, the daughter of Pearl Victor and Claire E. Walburn McLeland.She attended Eaton Schools and was self employed for many years as a housekeeper. She loved square dancing, gardening and canning. She bowled loved playing cards.Survivors include her children: James Bowers (Ann) of Modoc, John Bowers of New Castle, Gay Lynn Young of New Castle, Mary Joan McGuire of Chesterfield, and David Bowers of Middletown, 2 sisters: Nancy Coffee and Shirley Wright of Shidler, IN, 14 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 14 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 3 brother and sisters.A Celebration of her life will take place on Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Ballard & Sons, 118 South 5th, with family and friends officiating.Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery in Middletown.Friends may call on Wednesday from noon until the time of the service.Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association and American Cancer Society.Online Guestbook at:
