Daleville...Rosella F. Lamb, 88, resident of Daleville, passed away at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital, December 22, 2014.She was born in a farmhouse near Daleville, July 24, 1926, the daughter of Ralph and Florence McWilliams Martin.She was a 1944 graduate of Daleville High School and received her BA in Home Economics, Physical Education, and Business from Ball State Teachers College. She later returned for a Masters in Education.She taught school in Cadiz, Sulphur Springs, and Cowan and upon retirement, substituted at Anderson, Daleville and Muncie.She belonged to Delta Sigma Epsilon (Delta Zeta). She served as Past President of Indiana Angus Auxiliary , Past president of Grand Guardian Council of Indiana Jobs Daughters and served as Past Grand Guardian, Past Worthy Matron of Daleville Order of the Eastern Star 568, Daleville Woman's Club Past President and was a leader in the 4-H Club.She was also a member of the White Shrine of Jerusalem and Madison County Lady Shrine Club serving as past president and was also a board member.She attended the Hazelwood Christian Church.She loved to travel and had been to all but one of the 50 states as well as Europe, Australia, Hawaii and Canada.She loved classical music and opera as well as the Big Band sound.Sewing was her second life and she loved Quilting, Knitting, Crochet and cross stitching. Cooking was a specialty and she loved making yeast rolls.She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband: Robert Lowell in 2011.Survivors are two children: Dr. Bruce L. Lamb (Beth) of Milford, IN and Merianne Kerr (Jeffrey) of Carmel, 6 grandchildren: Heather Lechlitner (Fred) of Nappanee, Michelle Bontrager (Leon) of Shipshewana, Annette Lamb of Mulberry, Brent Lamb of Milford, Stefanie Walker (Bradley) of Sellersburg and Christopher Kerr (Amber) of Norman, OK, 6 great grandchildren: Caleb, Hayden, and Halle Lechlitner, Andrew Walker, Ella Kate Walker and Addison Kerr.A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday at 2:00 PM at Ballard & Sons, 8212 South Walnut Street with members from Jobs Daughters and Order of the Eastern Star presiding.Burial will follow at Tomlinson Cemetery near Muncie.Friends may call on Saturday from 10 until the time of the services.Memorials may be made to the Jobs Daughters or the Order of the Eastern Star.Online Guestbook at:
