Rose M. Holmes

Markleville....Rose Marilyn (Tidus) Holmes, 88, resident of Markleville, passed away Wednesday morning at Community Hospital in Anderson. She was born, June 20, 1926, the daughter of Oscar O. and Gladys Lewis Tidus. She had been a homemaker most of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: James A. Holmes in 2002, a brother and a sister.She attended the Markleville United Methodist Church.Survivors are two sons: John (Jane) Holmes of Markleville and Samuel (Lois) Holmes of Anderson, 5 grandchildren: Shawn Amber Garris of Anderson, Alison Scott (Aaron Yocum) of Markleville, Teresa Nyboer (Bob) of Anderson, Tamera Stoakes (Jeff) of Indianapolis, and Sue Brown (Mark) of Anderson, 13 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews as well as a lifetime friend: Irene Hull.A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM at Ballard & Sons, 8212 South Walnut Street, Daleville with Pastor Mike Srblgan officiating.Burial will follow at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson.Friends may call at the Daleville Chapel from 10:00 am until the time of the service.Memorials may be made to the Madison County Humane Society.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.comThe Ballard family is honored to celebrate the life of Rose with family and friends.
