Rosalie Jane Riley

April 24, 1925 — June 26, 2020

Rosalie Jane Riley, 95,passed away on Friday, June 26,2020 at her residence. She was born on April 24,1925 to the late Henry W. and Mable E. Harrison . She grew up in Middletown , and spent much of her adult life in Anderson. Rosalie worked as a secretary for Delco Remy for 38 years before her retirement.  She and Max enjoyed almost 50 years at Lake Gage in Angola ,Indiana,  and made wonderful memories with her friends and family. After her retirement, she spent winters  in Sarasota, Florida, where she worked at Lakehouse West, Pineapple House, and Gifford Tax Service.

Rosalie  is survived by her daughter-in-law ,Nancy Hannon ,of South Bend,IN four grandchildren- Aaron(Terri) Hannon of Paoli,IN, Kevin(Chelsie)Hannon of Indianapolis, IN, Kurt(Aimee)Hannon of Jacksonville, Florida, and Ross Hannon of South Bend, IN, and six great grandchildren- Michael, Tyler, Kalyn, Beau, Liam, and Sadie. Rosalie was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother . She delighted in spending time with family and friends at the lake, and taught them all kinds of card games. When they visited in Florida,  Rosalie took her grandsons to many places of interest. It was always a good time ! She enjoyed traveling, and was often on the road to see her friends. Whether writing a letter or greeting friends and family,  she always said " Cheers,dear!"

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Max Hannon, who died in 1993. She married Charles Riley in 2005, and he passed in 2017. Rosalie  was also preceded in death by her sons, Michael Hannon and Daniel Hannon, sister,  Bethel Harrison, and brother Henry Harrison.

Calling hours will be at the Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown on Saturday, July 25, 2020  from 10:00 am until 11:00 with a memorial services at 11:00.
