Middletown...Ronald Frederick Stoeckel, 80, resident of Middletown, passed away Sunday unexpectedly at his home.He was born in Linton, Indiana, May 13, 1932, the son of Edward B. and Anna F. Kramer Stoeckel.He was a graduate of Stockton High School in Linton, Indiana and was a US Navy veteran.He recieved a degree in chemical engineering from Purdue University and was a professional engineer most of his life consulting with companies.He was a member of the Middletown Lions Club and Saron United Church of Christ and Sulphur Springs Christian Church.He was preceded in death by his wife: Betty, his mother and father and his son: Clyde E. Stoeckel, 2 brothers: Chester and Bert Stoeckel.Survivors include his daughter: Anna Patrice Stoeckel of Indianapolis, and sons: Ronald Frederick Stoeckel, Jr., of Richmond and David Theodore Stoeckel of Fishers, a sister: Wilma Fisher of Warsaw and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be Friday at 2:00 PM at the Sulphur Springs Christian Church with Rev. C.J. Buskirk officiating.Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery.Friends may call Friday at the church from 11-2.Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetus Association.Online Guestbook at:
