Daleville....Ronald Eugene Nixon, 85, resident of Daleville, passed away at Bethel Pointe Rehabilitation Center in Muncie.He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, June 4, 1928, the son of Ralph C. and Beryl Graham Nixon.He was a graduate of Mt. Summit High School and attended Purdue University.He was a member of the Daleville United Methodist Church and was instrumental in beginning the Daleville Festival and the incorporation of the town of Daleville.He worked at the Cash and Carry Lumber Yard and Kirby Wood on the Point before retiring from Furrows.He is survived by his wife of 64 years: Ellen Rose (Jones) of Daleville, children: Roni (Mike) Waitman of Daleville, Tracy (Dick) Mulford of Chandler, OK, and Chris (Lisa) Nixon of Daleville, grandchildren: Nathaniel Woolum, Angie MConnell, Julie (Luke) Hibbs, Emily (Nick) Sweet, Jordan Mulford, Christopher (Ashley Meyer) Nixon, Mackenzie (Patrick) Frazier, Danielle (Dustin Pittsford) Nixon, Derreck Nixon and Kayleigh Nixon, 9 great grandchildren: Jacob Woolum, Makayla MConnell, Jack Hibbs, Coleson Sweet, Sophie Simunek, Parker Frazier, Molly Frazier, Jackson Cunningham, and Iam Pittsford, seveal nieces and nephews and many friends, and the lights of his life: Mudge, Ruphus, and Roxie.A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday at 3:00 PM at Daleville United Methodist Church with Rev.
