Ronald Eugene Corn, Sr.

Daleville...Ronald Eugene Corn, Sr. resident of Daleville passed away on December 29, 2020 at St. Vincent's Regional Hospital in Anderson.  He was born in Muncie, January 20, 1948 the son of Charles E. and Florence Murdock Corn.

He was a 1968 graduate of Daleville High School and a veteran of the US Navy.  He worked for many years in his family business, Corn and Sons Small Engine Repair.  He was a 50 year member of the Daleville/Salem Township Volunteer Fire Depart and held every office including Chief of the service.  He was an original driver for the Daleville/Salem Township EMS beginning in 1981.

He is survived by his wife Kim (Wallace) of Daleville, 1 son, Ronald E. Corn Jr., of Daleville, 2 sisters; Judith Botkin (William E.) of Muncie and Nellie Alford (William) of Summitville, 1 brother, James M. Corn (Chris) of Daleville, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brother.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2:00 PM at the Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street in Daleville with Pastor Marty Ballard of the Yorktown Church of the Nazarene officiating. Burial will follow in Saunders Cemetery, Daleville.

Friends may call from 5-8 PM at the funeral home on Wednesday.

Due to Covid restrictions, only 50 people may be in attendance at any time within the funeral home and masks, social distancing and hand sanitation will be required.
