Rodney L. Knotts

Daleville....Rodney L. Knotts, 51, resident of Daleville passed away unexpectedly Sunday at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.He was born in Muncie, October 26, 1962, the son of Harold and Sandra (Mitchell) Knotts.He was a 1981 graduate of Daleville High School and lived his entire life in Daleville.He was a member of the Daleville Lions Club and a member of the Indiana National Guard.He has worked in the custodial department for Daleville Schools for 33 years and was head of the department at the time of his passing.He is survived by his wife: Nancy (Nemyer) Knotts of Daleville, whom he married on August 9, 1982, two sons: Ryan Knotts of Daleville and Tim D. (Elle) Knotts of England, his mother: Sandi Knotts of Daleville, sister: Katrina (Jerry) Hudson of Daleville and 2 grandchildren: Gabe and Gwyn Knotts of England, a very special brother in law: Mark (Karen) Nemyer, Sr. and several Aunts, uncles, cousins and sister in laws.He was preceded in death by his father: Harold Knotts in 1999 and a brother: Timothy L. Knotts in 1959 as well as two brother in laws.A celebration gathering will be held on Saturday from 2-6 at Daleville High School with a Celebration of Life Service at 6:00 pm with Jon Ballard facilitating with several speakers including Mr. Paul Garrison, Superintendent of Daleville Schools with full military honors.The family requests those in attendance to dress casual.Memorials may be made to the Daleville Elementary Fund and Operation Christmas through Daleville Police Department.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.com and Facebook/Ballard and Sons Funeral Home and Cremation Services.The Ballard family is honored to celebrate the life of Rod Knotts with family and friends.
