Roberta Jean Walston "Bobby Jean"

Roberta Jean Walston “Bobby Jean”, 80, of Daleville passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023. She was born January 22, 1943 in Dearborn County to the late Robert and Jean (Henson) Cook.

Bobby Jean was a registered nurse for many years. She was a mom to many; she spoiled her grandkids endlessly and loved the experience of raising a family. Bobby Jean loved quilting, she also enjoyed restoring old furniture. Bobby Jean was well known for collecting baskets. She loved to read and work in the yard.

Bobby Jean is survived by 4 sons, David Walston, Mark Walston, Robert Walston and John Walston; daughter, Kim Dean; brother, John Cook; 4 sisters, Nina Bryant, Candice Zins, Mickie Russ, and Robin Boyd; 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Harold Walston; three brothers, Charles Cook, Raymond Cook and Kenneth Cook.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Daleville with Pastor Ned Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Saunders Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until the time of the service. Memorial contributions can be made to the Salem Township Fire/Ems at 14010 West Daleville Road, Daleville, Indiana 47334. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
