Anderson...Roberta J. (Schlegel) Jones, 75, resident of Anderson, died suddenly late Tuesday evening at Community Hospital in Anderson.She was born November 10, 1927 in Daleville, the daughter of LeRoy and Grace Harmon Schlegel. She was a loyal friend and devoted worker for 28 years in the Anderson School Food Services from 1964-1992. She also served as cafeteria manager at Highland High School for several years. She will be remembered as a quiet, loving, wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother.Survivors include her husband Fredrick M. Jones whom she married on May 10, 1946, a sister: Elizabeth (William) Walker of Yorktown, 1 brother: Ralph (Marjorie) Schlegel of Daleville, daughters: Malynna (James) Silverthorn of Burke, VA, and Carolyn (Robert) Melson of Anderson, sons: Jerrold (Renee') Jones of Anderson and David K. Jones of Anderson, Brother-in-law: Max H. (Nancy) Jones of Anderson, sisters-in-laws: Ruth (Don M.) Walker of Anderson and Alice (Joe E.) Gahimer of Anderson and Ruth Schlegel of Yorktown, grandchildren: Robb Melson of Anderson, Kyle Melson of Anderson, Jeffrey Silverthorn of Bolder, CO, Amy Silverthorn of Burke, VA, Alex Jones of Anderson and Max Jones of Anderson, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and a special friend: Linda Jones of Lynnwood, INShe was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers: Robert Schlegel and Don Schlegel.Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning at 10:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street, Daleville, with Rev.
